INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS
Emergency medical care is provided free of charge to:
• All permanent residents of the country, regardless of their insurance status;
• Foreigners who temporarily reside and legally work in the Republic of Lithuania;
• Citizens of EU/EEA countries and the Swiss Confederation who are staying temporarily in our country, upon presentation of proof of their insurance – a valid European Health Insurance card, Provisional Repalcement Certificate, oro ne of the folloving documents: E111, E123, DA1, DA002 or S045, or other valid health insurance agreement;
• Foreigners who are non- EU/EEA national staying temporarily in our country upon presentation of a valid health insurance agreement, or who are insured in EU/EEA countries.
Only EMC (emergency medical care) services and transportation by EMC vehicle to PHCI are provided to everyone free of charge if needed.
